The History of this building in Hornbrook, PA.
A class/group in Hornbrook was organized in 1857 by Rev. J. Whitham, and the church, costing $2,500, was built in 1862, on ground donated by W.K. Hill. It was repaired in 1871, again 1893 at a cost of $850, and again in 1900 at a cost of $800. The Epworth League furnished an organ and pulpit furniture, and the Ladies’ Aid Society bought the carpet and gave $100 toward the repairs. 1894 the parsonage was built for $1,800 and the lot was bought from J. Chaffee for $75.
Over the years many have come to know Jesus as Lord and Savior in this facility. And, many more will meet the Savior here and go on to live as productive Christians.
Harvest House is a Southern Baptist Church made up men and women committed to serving God by reaching out to men, women and children with His message of His love through His Son the Lord Jesus Christ. The Harvest House Vision is to touch people from every generation and walk of life with the agape love of God. And, to direct these same people to eternal life through Jesus Christ. And, to help every child of God identify, develop, and employ their God given gifts to help grow His Church. And, to see a church filled with maturing Christians, whose lives are balanced by truth and love that reflects Jesus,
Succinctly, the Harvest House vision for Hornbrook is to see many won to Christ.
